Writer & Brand Strategist

Elena Vasquez

I help companies find their voice. Through long-form writing, brand strategy, and editorial direction, I turn complex ideas into stories people remember.

About

For the past twelve years, I've lived at the intersection of language and strategy. I've written for the world's most respected publications, led editorial teams at two venture-backed startups, and helped Fortune 500 brands articulate what they stand for.

My approach is simple: listen deeply, think clearly, write precisely. Every brand has a story worth telling. Most just need someone to help them find it.

Before building my practice, I was the editorial director at Kinetic, where I grew the content team from 2 to 14 and built an editorial program that drove 3M monthly readers. Before that, I cut my teeth in journalism, covering technology and culture for The Atlantic and Wired.

“Elena doesn't just write well. She thinks well. She asks questions you didn't know you needed to answer, then turns your answers into something extraordinary.”

I'm based in Mexico City and work with clients globally. I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. When I'm not writing for clients, I'm working on my first book, a meditation on bilingual identity and the words we carry between languages.

I'm currently available for brand strategy engagements, editorial consulting, and select writing projects.
