Riverside Park is home to 200+ species of native plants and wildlife. It provides crucial flood mitigation for surrounding neighborhoods. Over 50,000 residents use it annually for recreation, exercise, and community events.
The proposed development would pave over wetlands, destroy old-growth trees, and remove the only public green space within 5 miles for 3 neighborhoods. There are alternative sites for this development that don't require destroying irreplaceable natural habitat.
