Bayfield, Wisconsin · 12 guests at most

Slow weekends by the big lake.

Morning yoga on the dock, paddleboards after lunch, simple food and early nights in an old fishing lodge. Day retreats too, if a weekend is too much to ask.

Three miles north of Bayfield on Highway 13. Free parking at the lodge. From the Duluth airport it's about 90 minutes; we run a Friday shuttle for $40.

Most guests drive up from the Twin Cities, Duluth, Madison and Eau Claire.

Not the right fit if

  • You're looking for a detox, fasting or treatment program. We serve three ordinary meals.
  • You need medical supervision. Talk to your doctor first if you're unsure.
  • You'd rather not walk two miles on a sandy path.
  • You're under 18, or bringing a dog.
