We wanted community to feel close again
Local Host was born from a desire to deeply connect with the people around us and restore a stronger sense of community within the town we call home.
The beginning
Redding has more to share than a calendar can show
Redding is a unique place. It brings together longtime locals, families, entrepreneurs, creatives, outdoor people, makers and people arriving with completely different stories. What can be difficult is knowing where those people are gathering and how to move from living in the same town to actually knowing one another.
Local Host was created to make those connections easier to find.
The goal
Build stronger connections between people, events and local places
We want someone to be able to start with a simple thought like “I want to get out of the house,” “I want to meet creative people,” or “I want to support something local” and immediately find a path into the community around them.
