Glance turns any mirror into a smart mirror — a mirror-finish touchscreen that suckers onto the glass, running an open-source OS with an app store behind it. Buy our device, run it on hardware you already have, or self-host the whole stack. Your mirror, your rules.

The OS, firmware and server are open source — that's a promise, not a marketing line. The hosted platform and official device are how we keep the lights on. Pick your lane; switch lanes any time.
The easy button. Mirror-finish touchscreen, suction mount, presence sensor, scan-grade camera. Unbox, press onto glass, done in two minutes.
That old phone or tablet in your drawer? Add mirror film or a suction cradle, install Glance OS, and pay once for a perpetual licence to the hosted platform and apps.
Flash the firmware, run the server on your own machine, and never talk to our cloud at all. Your hardware, your data, your rules — genuinely.
Official apps are polished, supported and included with the platform. Community apps are built by people like you — install them, fork them, or write your own. Your mirror rotates through the playlist you choose.
Sleep, readiness, weather, first meeting and leave-by time on one wake screen.
Hourly forecast, UV and rain callouts — decide on the jacket before you're dressed.
A four-headline digest from sources you pick. Read in the time it takes to brush.
Meds, supplements, skincare steps. Adapts to the day — SPF jumps up when UV is high.
AI skin analysis against your 30-day baseline. Requires Glance hardware's camera.
Today's schedule with live travel times to your first appointment.
Indices, tickers and crypto at a glance. Configure your watchlist.
Whatever's on in the kitchen — Spotify, Sonos, AirPlay — with mirror-side controls.
Home Assistant tiles: lights off, heating state, who's home, doors locked.
Last night's results for your teams, first thing. Configurable leagues.
One quote, once a day, in nice type. Sometimes that's all a mirror needs.
How playlists work: pick your apps, set the rotation, and Glance cycles through them while you're at the mirror — briefing on wake, weather while you brush, news while you shave. Swipe to skip, tap to interact.
Skin Scan photos are processed on the device and never uploaded — only derived scores sync to your phone, end-to-end encrypted. A physical shutter covers the lens, and the camera is hard-wired off outside scan mode. And because the stack is open source, you don't have to take our word for any of this — read it, audit it, or self-host and cut our cloud out entirely.
Glance apps are HTML rendered server-side and pushed to the display — if you can build a web page, you can build a mirror app. Register a plugin, point it at your data, and it's on your mirror in an evening. Publish to the store and every Glance user can install it.
Firmware, OS and server are MIT-licensed on GitHub. PRs welcome, forks encouraged, hostility to tinkerers not in the roadmap.
