Cameron Lanza — Recruiting Review

Pulled this morning from CMS and Granola, building straight off Friday's session. The short version: the rebuild we walked through on the 12th is converting. The Asset Living GM calibration turned into a wall of first rounds, the biggest single fee of the month landed Monday, and three starts are now sitting on the calendar for the 29th. Numbers live as of ~10am ET.

Off the top

Belated happy birthday. Good to hear the weekend finally got the family together for something positive after a couple of heavy months, and that life is catching back up. You said it best on Friday: you're past the hump, and you can feel the extra time going straight into the organizational system you've been rebuilding.

That mile-a-day, keep-it-simple discipline you mentioned from training for Spartans is the same muscle reshaping your calendar right now. Set the constraint, then go. It shows up all over the board below.

$13,920
Aaron Sykes, B.HOM GM. Offer accepted Monday, the desk's largest fee of the month.

01 · SINCE FRIDAY What converted

Friday we said May was the low point of the Ben-to-Mike transition and June was already turning. Four days later, that is on the board, not just in the notes.

B.HOMGeneral Manager
WonAaron Sykes — offer accepted Monday (6/15). $13,920 fee, $87K base, start 6/29. Now waiting on offer-letter signing. Don't let the signature stall the close.
Asset LivingGeneral Manager
LiveThe calibration paid off. Five first rounds booked across Monday and Tuesday: Bryce Deleon, Eric Duolo, De'Na Newborn, Ryan Ekern, Isaiah McKay. Nicole Davis and Stacey Friedly are ready as backfill if seats fall.
B.HOMLeasing Mgr / Asst GM
LiveMonday's screen wall produced. New names in the system off the back-to-back block: Devin White, Jessika Boykin, Whitney Redman, Brandon Glass, Winnie Blanchfield, Jess Gould, Macy Holden, Nicholas Scott Sr.
Core SpacesCommunity Leasing Mgr
LiveThree in process, as you called it Friday. De'Na Newborn attended round one and is waiting on a second-round confirmation; Lance Kellar interviews today; Wil Stahly, Carter Challance and Karyn Burnell are out with the client.
TRG MgmtAssistant Manager
LiveThree sent on a fresh req: Demie Cruz approved, Xavier West and Keith Gibbs out for approval. Good early velocity on a new client relationship.

DoneThe batching change landed. You rebuilt Monday back-to-back with no breaks between screens, the exact 180 from the old flood-the-calendar habit.
Monday is the first of these days where I'm booked up the entire day, just back to back to back. Cameron · June 12 session
02 · THE BOARD Walking the open reqs
Asset LivingGM · #3503
Hottest req on the desk. Five first rounds this week. The work now is keeping the funnel warm for whichever seats don't convert, not sourcing more cold. You have the backfill ready.
Asset LivingMaint. Supervisor · #3404
ClockJohn King finished round one; Robert, the regional facilities director, was on PTO and is in for the final round, decision targeted Wednesday. Debby flagged a competing offer, so the clock is real. Trevon Walls and Michael Selitto sit behind.
Asset LivingLeasing Mgr · #3475
Tyrese Fields accepted (start 6/30). Jermaine Whyte attended a second round, a possible second seat if Asset opens one.
B.HOMLeasing Mgr / AGM · #3378/3510/3511
Screens are done. The job now is triage: cut the nine down, send the best, report in channel. The Assistant GM is still the one that needs the most love, GPT prompt redone, higher of the two. Cross-pollinate with the Leasing Manager pool before sourcing fresh.
Core SpacesComm. Leasing Mgr · #3492
ChaseThree live. De'Na's second-round confirmation is the one to chase before it goes cold.
ArticleLM / NOS / Sales · #3464/3488/3486
WatchThe Jennifer Jacobi transition is forcing reschedules on Kiera Gauna, Roben Jarmon and De'Na. Keep candidates warm through the gap, that silence is where good ones walk. NOS submittals are with Jake.
UMHMaintenance Tech · #3352/3394
Alan McCausland and Wendell Kettering out for approval; Colt Hall interviewed. ConfirmRobert Russell is logged as a 6/29 projected start, but you weren't sure it pans out. Confirm it or flag it, don't let it ride.
TRG MgmtAssistant Manager · #3504
Demie Cruz approved, pending interview schedule. Get that on the calendar.
Andre / AprilOversight roles
Suburban Estates relaunch had two out in 24 hours, follow up early this week. On the TRG, RPM and TCB roles you're not screening, you still own the read. Get into the jobs tab and be able to say it's on track or it isn't.
03 · COACHING Threads carried forward
Batching beats context-switching Moved
Monday is rebuilt back-to-back. Watch the difference between a 15 and a 20 minute slot, 15 feels tighter than it reads. Not everyone shows, so you can always circle back.
Call length, 20 minutes is the cap
You named it yourself: a maintenance-tech screen isn't a national-ops screen. Constraints make the call. Time expands to fill what you give it.
Not all jobs are created equal
This is the highest-leverage skill to build. Newest reqs earn the spend; jobs that have been around a while are around for a reason. The Swear on Fifth leasing manager is the live example, six screens, no fit. Flag the impasse to me and Jake, don't burn more ad dollars to look busy.
Engage the quiet clients
When we go silent, they assume we're idle and stop telling us when a seat closes. Even with no submittal, send a short progress note, screens run, best-of-batch if you have one. You want them volunteering the truth about the req.
Qualify before the screen
When a screen ends in a no, ask whether you could have known on the front end. A sharper confirmation text on comp or fit saves the slot for a better req.
Setup discipline: prompt and radius pre-ad
Get eyes on the GPT prompt before the job goes live on Indeed, not after. And commute radius off for any relocation role, or CMS rejects the candidate you worked to find.
The supervisor muscle
You've stepped out of the screens and the comms on the Andre/April roles, that's the right move. The new muscle is making sure you still know each one is on track. The Jake-style jobs-tab workflow you described is exactly it.
04 · THIS WEEK Action items
June is shaping up exactly like we hoped it would on the 12th. The rebuild is on the board now, not just in the plan. Hold the discipline on time and the discernment on which reqs deserve it, and this rhythm carries. Hope the birthday week is treating you well, glad to see you back on the up.
