Andre Serrano — Activity, Contribution & Growth

A channel-complete read on Andre's first half: CMS events, 1,500+ recorded calls, candidate texts and email, and Slack. Companion to the April Olea review, built on the same four-layer method so the two can be read side by side.

01 · The read

The widest desk on the team, with a loaded runway and one loop to close

Andre runs more clients, more jobs, and more candidates than anyone at Percy — and right now he has five accepted offers worth $42,752 landing in the next seventeen days.

His H1 invoiced number ($74,389) understates the half in two ways the data makes visible: the locked runway above, and three YTD starts that carry $0 invoices and are almost certainly remedy work. His craft signature is the close — 33 of 34 decided offers accepted, with deal intelligence (competing offers, notice periods, start constraints) written into nearly every offer note. The growth work is the other end of the funnel: 23 interviews sit without a recorded outcome, some genuinely client-blocked, some simply never closed out in CMS.

02 · Output against the desk

Third in starts and fees YTD, first in starts over the trailing year

All recruiters, YTD 2026 starts and invoiced fees from CMS start events. Andre's trailing-12 figure (79 starts, $242,699) leads the company, driven by the 2025 EIP and Health Plan One cohort waves; his 2026 desk has rotated almost entirely into multifamily maintenance and office roles.

Team YTD: 90 starts, $526,420 invoiced. Andre: 18.9% of starts, 14.1% of fees — the most balanced production-to-fee ratio on the volume desks. Three of his 17 starts carry $0 invoices (see Growth #2); excluding them, his billed average is $5,313 per start.

If all five land, Andre's June alone produces 6 starts and ~$48K — more fee than his entire Q1. He is pre-shepherding each one: onboarding check-in with Wesley (6/9), start-day confirmation with Abby (6/12), and signed-offer-to-background handoff with Desean inside two hours of the verbal (6/12).
03 · Where the production comes from

A seven-client half anchored on TCB

TCB (6 starts, $37,277). Half his billed fees: Resident Occupancy Specialists, Maintenance Tech 3s, a Maintenance Supervisor, and a Janitor placement. He also absorbed the account's bad luck cleanly — one pre-start attrition (Bill White) and one job that fizzled after a signed offer (Morravia's first role) without losing the relationship; both candidates were re-landed or replaced.

The maintenance belt (UMH, Asset Living, Dominium, Legacy, Hill Street — 9 starts, $34,112 billed). Steady singles across five operators, including Percy's first Hill Street and recent Legacy work. Richard Perry at Legacy ($8,320) is his largest billed start of the half.

EIP (2 starts, $3,000). Light cohort support in the team waves — he closed offers on five of April's EIP submits and she closed several of his UMH ones. The cross-coverage runs both directions on this team.

04 · Strengths

What the full channel record shows he does well

1
Closing with deal intelligence — he knows what he's closing against
33 of 34 decided offers accepted (97.1%). His offer notes read like a deal file: Royal Raybine's competing $25–26/hr TriCity offer and how he'd decline it; Kiara Reggans weighing a higher rate against commute and choosing TCB; notice periods and start constraints logged on nearly every accept. He closes with the candidate's full option set on the table, which is why his accepts stick. Evidence: offer events 481387 (Raybine), 487422 (Reggans), 487442 (Berry), 489532 (Guinn — "$31/hr // 2 weeks notice"), 487727 (Bullard).
2
Interview-day production management
He treats client interviews like live events he is producing. Standing Interview Prep calls before first rounds, content pointers tailored to the role ("expect questions on HVAC diagnostics and certifications"), and morning-of link tests with the candidate. When a B.HOM Teams link failed today with the candidate waiting, he had already tested it that morning, narrated the fix live in the job channel, and proposed the systemic correction: include the Teams link on all interview invites going forward. Evidence: prep call for Alfred Weaver (6/11); Interview Prep events for Sophia Douglas and Carter Ferguson (6/15); #bhom-maintenance-supervisor-monarch-heights-3506 thread, 6/12 1:04–2:00 PM.
3
Keeping candidates warm through client silence
When the Asset Living Regional Facilities Director went on vacation and feedback stalled on four candidates, Andre called each one anyway — no news, just status, an apology for the delay, and a commitment to follow up. That anti-ghosting discipline is why his 1,500-call sample runs 621 positive to 2 negative on sentiment, and why his connect rate (58%) is the highest measured: candidates pick up because he calls when there's nothing in it for him. Evidence: update calls/voicemails to Daniel Petersen, Thomas Washburn, Joseph Thies, Reggie Jackson (6/12); sentiment and connect rate from the capped call sample.
4
Breadth with depth — the widest desk, screened the hardest
123 candidates interviewed across 33 jobs and 10 clients, the broadest footprint on the team — yet his answered calls run the deepest (median 44 segments, 320 calls of 80+), and his candidate email volume (127 signals since late April) doubles the next-closest desk, consistent with what the 3453 teardown found when his "near-zero" footprint on that one job turned out to be 80 emails on his own desks. Width has not thinned the work. Evidence: interview and call samples YTD; get_intelligence (User 216, candidate email); UMH 3453 channel-complete analysis.
5
Workflow ownership without being asked
He closes his own loops in public: marks the job to Closing in #sourcing-inputs when the verbal lands, posts the @channel accept with terms, asks Jake "how does this look to you?" before candidate packets go out, and self-flags risk before anyone else sees it — "I only have 1 future PS left on Monday… I plan to go through the leads before the end of the day." That is the overcommunication norm running on autopilot. Evidence: #sourcing-inputs and #asset-living-maintenance-technician-corinth-place-3491 (6/12); #tcb-resident-occupancy-specialist-3458 (6/12 5:08 PM).
05 · Areas for growth

Three moves, in priority order

1
Close the back end of the funnel
23 of his 137 occurred interviews YTD have no recorded outcome, plus 5 marked "never received feedback" — nearly one in five. Some of that is genuinely client-blocked and actively managed (the Corinth Place vacation cluster). But William Barreca (4/2), John Newman (4/20), and Rodney Davis (5/14) are simply stale records, and three Asset Living 3407 submits have sat at "client offered diff cdd" since June 5 without being dispositioned. The move: a standing weekly outcome sweep — every interview older than ten days either gets an outcome, an AM escalation for client feedback, or a closed-lost disposition. His top-of-funnel is the best on the team; the record-keeping at the bottom should match it. Evidence: get_interviews outcome summary (23 pending, 5 never-received); pipeline rows for submits 56055/56051/56045; stale events 4/2–5/14.
2
Get the $0-invoice starts confirmed and labeled
Three of his 17 YTD starts — Spencer Beck (Hill Street, 3/9), Kizzy Jones (Dominium, 3/25), Talmage Richardson (UMH, 4/20) — carry $0 invoice amounts. If these are guarantee replacements, that is remedy work the current reporting silently erases: his billed average jumps from $4,376 to $5,313 per start once they're excluded, and his real H1 contribution includes free make-goods that protected three client relationships. If any of them should have billed, that's an AR gap. The move: confirm the story on each with him and the AMs, then label replacement starts explicitly in CMS so neither his numbers nor the revenue report lies. Evidence: start rows with fee=0 and offer events 477715 (Beck, $29/hr), 478302 (Jones, $21/hr), 481702 (Richardson, $23/hr — submit_invoice_amount 0).
3
Insulate against schedule churn
20 no-shows plus 24 reschedules (20 of them candidate-side) is the highest absolute schedule churn measured — partly the tax of running the widest hourly desk, but it compounds: every reschedule is a client touch and a cooling candidate. He already runs morning-of link tests on his big interviews. The move: the same prescription as April's desk — make the day-of, two-channel confirm (text plus email) the default on every client interview, not just the marquee ones, and probe reschedule reasons the way he already does ("may I ask the reason for the reschedule?") to separate flake from fixable friction. Evidence: interview summary (20 no-show, 24 rescheduled); reschedule probe to Matthew Parr (6/5).
One watch item, not a finding: two screen-stage gate misses reached the client — a candidate who arrived at a UMH interview smelling of marijuana (4/13) and a Legacy candidate whose suspended license surfaced at interview rather than at screen (3/3). Two instances across 137 interviews is noise, but both are checkable at the phone screen: a license-status question on driving roles and a one-line professionalism reminder in interview prep. Worth folding into his existing prep ritual, not a development plan.
Desk intelligence for the AM side — the TCB ROS comp ceiling. This pattern only became visible by running both reviews: TCB Resident Occupancy offers are dying or wobbling on rate across two recruiters. Andre lost Sharice Worley-Eaddy at $20 vs a $23 floor (6/3) and has Jenee Thomas asking for $25 against the same $20 (6/3); April lost Adefarakan Oluwantimilehin at $27 vs $30 on the parallel ROS req (6/5). Three comp-driven losses in nine days is not a recruiter problem — it is a rate problem to raise with TCB before the new ROS wave (six candidates between the two desks next week) hits the same wall.

07 · Method & caveats

How this was built, and where the numbers bend

Same method as the April review: every conclusion sourced from at least two of four layers — CMS events, call recordings, candidate texts/email, and Slack — per the 3453 lesson that the data layer you stop at decides the verdict you reach.

Caveats: (1) Call totals are floors — all three sampled windows hit the 500-row cap, January is entirely unsampled, and Feb 28–Mar 12 is missing; his true YTD call count is meaningfully above 1,500. (2) Candidate-email coverage begins ~April 23, so the 127-email figure is a partial-half count. (3) A number of call summaries render his name as "Sanjay," "Anshy," or "Andrea" — transcription artifacts on calls logged to his submits; where attribution mattered, only cleanly-attributed records were cited. (4) Start fees are CMS invoice amounts as recorded and say nothing about collection; the three $0 rows are unresolved pending Growth #2. (5) SMS was not pulled desk-wide; texting evidence comes from call notes and the 3453 teardown.
